Freeagent is brilliant. does everything for you. if you use it properly it replaces your accountant until you get to the stage you need an audit (around £4m turnover) <bank rant> As for bank accounts, I have had business accounts with pretty much everyone over the years. If you never need your bank manager then they are all the same. If you do find yourself needing a bank manager from time to time then they are all the same. What they give with one hand they take with another. They arent in business to help you or be your friend, its about getting you to the stage where they can make you a profitable customer whether through loans, insurances, or bank charges. All you need to make sure is that your personal and business accounts aren't with the same people. And don/t be afraid to keep switching them around. </bank rant>. 2009/10/20 Alex Bovey <alex at bovey.co.uk>: > Hi Jon, > > On Tue, Oct 20, 2009 at 9:45 AM, Jon Bennett <jmbennett at gmail.com> wrote: >> Upload the card statements to FreeAgent, >> books are largely taken care off :) > > Would you say FreeAgent is a substitute for an accountant, or in addition? > > I have a limited company and an accountant but tend to try and keep > track of income and expenses myself (with obligatory crappy > spreadsheet). > > But always looking for ways to make life easier... > > -- > Alex Bovey > Web Developer | Alex Bovey Consultancy Ltd > Registered in England & Wales no. 6471391 | VAT no. 934 8959 65 > > -- > underscore_ list info/archive -> http://www.under-score.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/underscore > -- ================================================ Richard Dennys BSc (Hons) FCIM, Digital Divinity Limited - Ebusiness Consulting and Training Tel: 07595 537451 http://www.linkedin.com/in/richarddennys ================================================ Online Revenues ¦ SEO&PPC ¦ ECommerce ¦ Research ¦ Training
