If you like something a bit more rural then there are some amazing walks just a few miles outside the city, particularly south of the city around Dundry. One of the things I love about this city is how quick it is to get into what feels like the wilds. On the pub front: a sundowner tipple on the terrace in the pub next to the Avon Gorge Hotel (White Lion Inn) is a perfect way to end the visit to the Bridge if the weather is OK. Fantastic view of the gorge and bridge. A visit to the Coronation Tap on a Sunday eve will usually deliver some great (usally free) jazz and the Old Duke is also recommended for that area of music. Sunday lunch at the Adam & Eve in Hotwells and a drink on the steps in front of the Cottage on a summer's evening is enough to make you forgive the city of all it's sins. Anyone would think I go out drinking a lot ;-) Stef -- http://jivatechnology.com http://stefangoodchild.com
