Did you know that even if you went through to the ICO and made a complaint, they don't really have any teeth. "..We cannot award you compensation or punish an organisation for breaking the law. Our main aim is to get the organisation to change the way it works so that it handles personal information properly in the future..." http://www.ico.gov.uk/complaints/data_protection.aspx So what's the point of that? Have written to the boss, will forward to my clients and press contacts recommending they don't work with them and will will probably forward via my twitter and linked in site on how bad this is as a working practice. then i am going to get myself a life again. ================================================ Richard Dennys BSc (Hons) FCIM, Director, Digital Divinity Limited - Ebusiness Consulting and Training http://www.digital-divinity.co.uk Twitter: @DigitalDivinity ================================================ Online Revenues ¦ SEO&PPC ¦ ECommerce ¦ Research ¦ Training ¦ Mobile / SMS ¦ Social Networks We specialise in showing and teaching you how to make money from your digital media; web, mobile, TV and email 2009/12/1 Andy Davies <dajdavies at gmail.com>: > 2009/11/30 Richard Dennys <richard.dennys at gmail.com> > >> /will_to_live >> >> ________________________________________ >> From: Clare Trotter [c.trotter at timothyjamesconsulting.com] >> Sent: 30 November 2009 19:25 >> To: Richard Dennys >> Subject: Interim PMO Manager - Public/Private Sector Experience >> >> > Timothy James are one of the worst for this sort of crap - I just route them > straight to the bin, pity there's no way to train MessageLabs spam filters > into thinking they're spam... > > Andy > -- > underscore_ list info/archive -> http://www.under-score.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/underscore >
