Yo,

Thanks for the snappy reply but two other underscorers hit the nail on the
head it would seem. 

Set inline_styles: false and you get beautiful code output.

you can add styles to your 'content.css' file, if you're using the
advanced skin:

/js/lib/tiny_mce/themes/advanced/skins/o2k7/content.css

mine looks like: http://bin.cakephp.org/view/752027443

This adds 3 styles to the styles drop down in the editor.
