At home I have a cheapy 15 metre extension kit going from the
downstairs phone point, out the window and back in through my study
window to where all the house computer gubbins are. It has worked fine
for the past 2 years and isn't waterproof/shielded or anything (though
I'm fully aware it's a shonky set-up).
