Yup, I have one ear to the inter-tubes at all times :) In this case, we noticed a connectivity issue, I then did some traceroutes to confirm it, then contacted our upstream to see what they knew, and they confirmed it being a LINX issue. LINX also have a variety of tools on their website, such as the Looking Glass which lets you run various diagnostics.
