Matt beat me to the plone autoresponder - the inbuilt search is great,
you can organise things in folders, add keywords and create
"smartfolders" to display lists fitting particular criteria. You can
also use it to manage documents, images etc. All without writing a
line of code - just download and install it on any machine - you'll be
up and running in 10 minutes.

Personally I use my blog, which I use google to search e.g. I tend to
search google for things like "rick hurst delete svn folders" to find
my knowledge base entries! Admittedly I might have to rethink my
strategy for more confidential info..
