Hi guys and girls,

 

Happy Tuesday!

 

Ok so I've managed to stay away from the horrors of .Net so far but have
got caught up in moving a .Net site from the development company's
server onto one here or a rented one somewhere else. Now, I've done this
sort of move many, many times in Apache / PHP / MySQL land, but have
almost no experience in Win Server 2003 / .Net / SQL Server land.

 

So is it much different? Do you still just dump the .Net files into the
file tree and setup the database? Do DB usernames and passwords etc
still go into a config file somewhere or is it a dropdown in the server
admin or something MS-ey like that? Sorry to be such an ignorant
dumbass....
