I noticed a dip in spam over christmas/ new year, which made me think that there must be a human element controlling the output at some point. I would have thought that the spam would have been sent automatically in the background whilst the spammers are sitting down eating their turkey, but maybe even they take a break? Or maybe the people funding them to send the mail are too busy eating their turkey to want them to send out spam...?
