Have had a bash at writing a facebook app over the last few weeks, and  
found the official facebook developer forum to be exceptionally  
unhelpful.

Nobody seems to really know which personal information you can (or can  
not) use, the whole thing seems like a bloody mess.

Anyhow rant over, I was hoping I might just find someone on here who  
can help...


I am making a desktop app which pulls images from facebook. How do I  
log in infinitely ?  I wish the user to log in once (on the desktop  
app), then never have to again.
Is this possible? I keep reading about infinite session ID's, then the  
next website says facebook are removing infinite sessions, which case  
what will replace it?
