The Underscore Archives

I've passed this to our network guys and the head scratching has begun.  Do I need any software on my PC to facilate this or does magic take place in the router?

Kind've. If you have ssh access to the server, then you don't need  
them to do anything: you can set up the tunnel yourself without too  
much effort.
