I need to source a good PHP developer for a project to add functionality to
an existing website. some xHTML/CSS knowledge would be necessary too.
it will require the technical skills but also a couple of client meetings to
help nail down requirements. client is based 10 miles east of Bath, so if
you're Bath based that would be good (and I'm here too).

main requirements I know (or have assumed!) so far are:
* log in area for franchise owners (plus registration facility and admin
area for site owner to authorise store owner registrations + obviously db
setup)
* account editing page for franchise owners to update their reg. details

in this special 'franchise owners area' of the website there will be:
* simple news page (+ simple CMS for this, we have the framework for this
already on another part of the site; could be reused?)
* downloads page (simple list of resources with links to file downloads.
admin area for this)
* contact page (simple form to email generator)
* update store details page (effectively another simple contact form which
simply generates an email to site owner who will then manually update their
internal stores database)
* questionnaire. site owner can create online questionnaires which contain a
number of multiple choice questions for franchise owners to answer. answers
go into an excel or CSV file which site owner can download periodically.
needs admin area for store owner to add/delete/edit questionnaires.

then, and this is the big unknown at the moment, they want an 'artwork
generator' to allow franchise owners to create their own 'shelf labels'.
this would probably work as follows:
1. storeowner chooses a template style
2. storeowner enters information into a number of fields in a form (or
wysiwyg flash thingy??)
3. website shows preview of their finished shelf label
4. server generates PDF* artwork file which storeowner can download and
print locally. (*other options considered)
