And I choose to not take your advice.

Don't get me wrong, I feel for the people who were attacked and can't
understand why somebody would want to beat up somebody else for the sake
of it.

However. I commute there most days, including in winter when it's dark,
and have never had anything happen to me (touch wood).

I would suggest that these incidents are not isolated to the cycle path.

Whilst I'm not advocating that everybody start using the path after
dark, I for myself simply refuse to stop using a facility like this
because some gang of tossers think they own the thing.
