Hi [ _ ]

As those of you who attended the Database Skillswap know MediaClash
are recruiting. We need a middle weight web developer to meet the
following role:

Essential experience:

unobtrusive js)
- Be able to code in PHP, having been exposed to templating,
frameworks or db abstraction layers.
- Grep GNU/Linux and command-line operations.
- Be able to communicate verbally and be part of a development team.

Desirable experience:
- Debian linux experience (or Ubuntu)
- MVC experience with a framework such as Cake, symfony or Zend
eCommerce exposure.
- Comfort with Version control, Bug tracking and unit testing.
- Any exposure to Flash.

Passions

- All things Digital – mobile / social media / pervasive media /
hardware hacking / gaming are all good examples of having a passion
for digital.
- Continuous improvement of the quality of your work.

Why MediaClash?
- Competitive salary
- Great central Bath location in new purpose built offices.
- Up to date hardware set-ups and big nice monitors or dual monitor
setups, Mac or PC.
- Training – past 9 months have seen staff attend FOWD,
BarCampLondon3, FOWA and PHP5 training.
- Gain exposure to other forms of media that the agency gets involved in.
- We score 7 out of 12 on the Joel Spolsky coding test :
http://www.joelonsoftware.com/articles/fog0000000043.html And we're
working hard to get better.

Crazy new media perks:
- Friday before every bank holiday is a half day.
- Every month we have a themed Friday e.g. fruit Friday, pub sports
Friday and Slovenia Friday (great cake!)
- Gym discount.
 - We also operate an EMI (employee share incentive scheme)
- Casual dress code.

In short, we're a young company with big ideas, good funding &
revenue, with a clear vision of what type of digital agency we want to
be as part of the wider MediaClash company.
If you are interested in the position please forward your CV, examples
of web projects you've worked on and your contact details to Laura
Sharples at: laura.sharples at mediaclash.co.uk
Absolutely and positively no agencies.

If you think someone you know might be interested, forward this on,
earn the karma! (or beer from me next time you see me, as long they
join ;-) )

Cheers,
Dan
