Hi Mac,

I've previously mentioned FFMpeg for this kind of conversion task - there is
also a OSX GUI for it:

Which may be a great help getting the files into the correct format.

In what way are the media unreadable? It may be that running the files
through a conversion using the above at a data level rather than trying to
play them back will bring them back to some life...
