My father will be rueing another birthday soon, and he is into the
cost-cutting/green/eco-friendly/carbon footprint/recycling thing ... does
anyone have any suggestions for gadgets or gizmos similar to the Energy
Monitor that would make a decent birthday present? Or anything in this vein
that I can get to help him make a contribution to the world at large?

(Oh, he'll be knockin on 70, so solar-powered bikes etc aren't really gonna
do it for him. And the cheaper, the better ... it is only my dad after all
;p ).
