Having used the DVLA online service to tax our cars a few times and
being pleasnatly suprised at how simple and easy it was I decided to
use their site to do the change of address on my driving license

Big mistake, spent about ten minutes filling in the forms and get to
the end of the process to find I get a nice pdf document to print off
and send in along with my current driving license, it would have taken
less time to fill in the form on the driving license by hand!

As I was mighty brassed off, I whipped off an email to the DVLA who responded:

"As your enquiry is regarding an online application it will be
necessary for you to contact our designated help line on telephone
number 0870 850 2963."

FFS, we pay for this buffoonery!
