Dear [_], I have a requirement to plot a large data set in several synchronised channels (we're talking 100,000 + points per channel plot) and sooo I've started the new year off by looking into filtering algorithms to scale down the dataset to something more managable but maintain the fine scale data structure for zooming purposes. It suddenly struck me that this is exactly what a wave form viewer does, basically plot millions of points of data very quickly and maintain any fine scale artefacts(doesn't it?). Anyone aware of any good tutorials on this or in an ideal world some example code in C#? Been googling but as yet not found anything suitable (i.e. easy to understand, free and with some example code). Sounds like the sort of thing a million and one techies would program in their bedroom :-) rick (not Rick) -- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." -Benjamin Franklin
