Thanks all,

Thinkpad X61 tablet is still in the lead at present with Vaio close on
its heels. I'm up the smoke on weds so I'll go play with a few on
Tottenham Court Rd and likely come to an arbitrary descision then.

I did briefly consider a Macbook air for the lushness angle, but a few
negative articles like this one changed my mind:

The EEE looks really nice but I need something beefier and with a bigger screen.
