Thanks, Ben Joyner. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Web Designer (Part-time) (vacancy ref. 13907) Working in the Internet Development Group, you will be responsible for the visual design of websites and web applications for University departments and external clients. A first degree in graphic design or similar arts discipline (or equivalent experience) and 2-3 years experience working within web design are required. You will have an in-depth knowledge of Photoshop (or equivalent image editing software), be capable of producing valid, semantically correct XHTML, CSS-based layouts and a comprehensive knowledge of web standards, accessibility and usability. You will be able to persuade, advise and influence a broad range of clients, work on multiple projects either independently or as a team-player, and have excellent communication and time-management skills. This is a part-time post around three days per week with the flexibility to arrange working around other commitments e.g. term-time working only.
