I've just made the transition to linux full-time, and have opted for
Ubuntu Studio (for all the bundled media apps and low latency kernel).

What I do like about ubuntu is the Synaptic Package Manager, nice and
simple to install and uninstall software. I'm not 100% happy with the
Gnome windows manager, and I'm looking forward to trying out KDE4 when
it gets a bit more settled (which will be reflected in the Kubuntu release).

Of the other distros, I really liked SimplyMEPIS. I think the guys down
at Bristol Wireless have used it quite a bit?
