A question, though: is "digital" as a descriptor for Web design as
much of a mental block for other people as it is for me? If it's Web
design, why not call it "Web design"?

I associate "digital" with other computer-based design forms the likes
of which you'd get in Computer Arts and similar: e.g. 3D, photo
manipulation, CD-ROMs/DVDs/"Multimedia" etc.

So, am I weird or do other people feel the same in that Web is related
to, but distinct from, other "digital" design?
