i am considering undertaking some a live music project which might be
using ableton live to sequence loops and do some reali time
processing..

i dont have a big budget, between £300  - £600 tops.., ideally lower end..

is it possible to get any *new laptop which might be reliable enough
to handle this type of work?

or do I have to look beyond £600 for real perfomance?
I have a friend who has done this and had a custom built one for
£1300...but cant stretch to this..
