Their PC's and ordinary laptops are much of a muchness, but he was after a subnote jobber for working on the train (esp now they're refitting the carriages without many proper tables) and even Mr Dell couldn't manage one for much less than £800-00.  And as they've got an outlet in Portisdead it a. means no delivery charge, and b.  You can go and give them a slap if needs be.  T'aint as pretty as a Vaio or similar but it cranks through the code ok, and still working after a couple of months...
