I recently got a nokia N61 with service from 3. It doesn't sync with a
mac - other models probably will. The camera and web browsing are good
enough.

The good bit, though, is that I can use it as a modem to connect to
the internet from my mac. The coverage is pretty good, and the service
only costs 5 quid a month on top of the usual monthly contract.
