Thanks to every one for chipping in with their thoughts and contacts. 
I've had a load of replies both on and off list.

With regards to EA, I'm looking through my games collection and counting 
all their titles! Think they're a company who'd be worth a punt even 
with bad press. They're a large organisation - I've never come across 
somewhere big that doesn't have a few horror stories! But will still 
check out the press...

Incidentally, does anyone know of a similar mailing list to Underscore 
in Vancouver? This kind of thing is such a wonderful resource...
