well, think tinariwen, north afrikan rhythm, call to prayer, traditional 
iranian/egyptian/malian folk percussion, ud solos, vocal improvs, etc. 
compressed and shoved through a distortion pedal for rock effect and a 
touch of jay-z for good measure. shake well, apply to dancefloor... :)
