The terms "3D" and "casual gaming" are accutely counterpoint in my experience, because adding that third dimension makes games much more complicated. Hence why the majority of "casual games*" are board games or simple puzzles--because the barrier to entry is minimal. Spend any longer than 30 seconds introducing how a game works and it's no longer casual; needing to explain 3D principles intrinsic to the game mean it's not simple. * Despicable term, IMHO.
