if anyone's interested, i have a decent sherwood 100w/ch rms amp and a 
pair of low-mid range eltax floor standers going for ~ £100 for the lot. 
sound very nice. for the money. amp about 7 years old, speakers are less 
than a year old, slight nick in the top corner of one. getting rid of 
them as i now have a very nice pair of m6 actives.
