As many of you may know, once the part of the HF radio spectrum used for analogue television broadcasts is freed up after digital switch- over, Ofcom plan to sell it to the highest bidder via a spectrum auction. Digital switchover is the process whereby analogue TV signals are switched off, region by region, across the UK. Under current proposals all of it will be sold at auction to the highest bidder, and none of it will be reserved for citizen uses.
