The Green Tree on green st is very nice , excellent booze , lovely panneling , no music and some pictures of spitfires. The Star on the paragon is nice too , although the beers not quite so good. The King William on london rd is also really nice and fairly quiet ( try the snug downstairs for ultimate seclusion). Apparently the food is good too. As of next week i'm sure you will find all the pubs a lot quieter... Toodle-pip Amias
