> I notice GoDaddy offer a domain back-ordering service; has anyone had > success with this or something similar? I don't think GoDaddy's service extends to .uk domains - according to this page its only .COM,.NET,.ORG,.INFO, .BIZ, or .US https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/Domain_Alert/landing.asp?ci=9001 I've used DropCatcher for this purpose (www.dropcatcher.co.uk) but aside from the fact they never seemed to be very successful for me, when they finally were successful I'm now having horrendous problems getting the domain under my control. And they aren't responding to any of my emails... That was a very negative response - sorry about that! One last thing to mention if you didn't realise - the date the whois gives as the end of the registration isn't the date the domain will become available again. It'll become "SUSPENDED" and then it'll sit around for a bit until Nominet decide to free it up. There's some good information here about the drop cycle: http://www.deleting.co.uk/dropcycle/ There's also a list of sites which offer drop-catching services here: http://www.deleting.co.uk/backorder/ As a disclaimer, aside from DropCatcher I've not used any of the companies listed on that page (nor heard of most of them) so this isn't a recommendation, merely for information. Good luck! Simon
