I suspect I've done Symfony a disservice here. TBH I have no idea how hard it is to install on anything other than a dedicated server with PEAR installed and where I've got root; I then find it a doddle to install. There's just a bunch of library files added to /usr/share/php and a /sf alias is created in the virtualhost for that application (which could obviously go into an htaccess file instead). Other than that then one needs the cmd line tool. I'm sure it's easy though it does sound as if Cake is extremely straightforward. Anyway, we seem to be agreeing far too much for Underscore. Maybe I should have said Cake is pants and left it at that ;) db -- Darren Beale 07711 716 197 http://bealers.com
