We're planning on putting adverts on a website I run as it's become  
very popular in our particular market and think there's some value  
for advertisers. I've never really had anything to do with this side  
of things and so am a little unsure where to start. Easiest would be  
to offer adverts for £X a day/week/month and perhaps this might be  
suitable for the kind of companies that might want to advertise with  
us however it might be useful to have an understanding of alternative  
methods, per click I assume would be the most obvious.

So, is there any software/online applications or other (that will  
integrate with a ruby on rails site) that will handle/manage online  
adverts that anyone can recommend? Any other tips, insights or voodoo  
magic on managing online advertising would be very useful!
