I did the same with Orkut and every other social networking site out
there, until Facebook. I tried to resist, but when the nth offline
friend, with no involvement in web development asked me if I was on
it, I gave in.

As far as pwonce etc go, I'm just interested to see what other
developers are up to and how they are achieving it.
