I always thought it was interesting that the PS2 is still outselling the 360 (http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20060611-7030.html), thats helluva userbase to upgrade once they get bored with their PS2s and the PS3 catalogue become much more attractive. So Sony aint out of the running yet. still think they've made a mess with the price, late launch, PS2 games looking bad and insistance on using blu-ray etc but in their defence they are actively encouraging alternative OSs for the PS3 without the need for any hardward mods. Thats gotta be a step in the right direction! I barely play proper XBOX games now that I can play Megadrive, SNES and MAME games on it!
