The Underscore Archives

Out of interest, who on the list is considering getting one on launch?  Or,
at all in the first few months/this year?
 
Can't say I'm that bothered.  I thought I would be, I'm normally the type of
person who pre-orders consoles/games etc, but I'm nicely full with my
Xbox360, Wii, DS and PC right now, I can't imagine a) where to fit one and
b) finding the time/inclination to play one.  For once, I'm really happy
with everything I've got, and the novelty of them all hasn't worn off yet.
 
As a really avid gamer (it's what I do with most of my spare time, apart
from drinking with mates) I am wondering if Sony has just really ballsed
this one up.  Their timing is just awful.  A year after the 360 so lots of
us now used to that and have a nice games catalogue, and just a few months
after the Wii - where a lot of us are still loving the novelty of the
jumping about malarky.  And much much more expensive.
 
I was always a really big Sony advocate previously, but caved and got the
360 when they pushed the PS3 date back again last year.  Now I am not sure
I'd switch back, ever.  What's the point?  I have my high end Xbox360 for
graphics and eye candy, and my Wii for sillyness.  What could the PS3 offer
me now except a chunk out of my credit card?
 
What are your thoughts?
