I think that's a symptom of a larger problem, namely that the buck never stops with anyone you have contact with. It's not the train staff's fault that their rolling stock is (at newest) 15 years old and pretty ropey, it's FGW Corporate's fault. It's not FGW's fault if Network Rail (or their contractors) have been getting behind with their maintenance. At least when it was British Rail, it was _one corporate entity_. The only people we can vent at are the train or platform staff. We certainly can't vent at a recorded message (well, I often do, but I'm probably nuts). For anyone who's interested, there's a website: http://www.moretrainlessstrain.org.uk/ And a Yahoo! Group! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/moretrainlessstrain/ Interestingly, the local RMT branch have a website with lots of links to the media coverage of the Dec timetable debacle: http://www.rmtbristol.org.uk/ Tim
