HNY all,

It's time quiz the collective again. A client of mine is looking to purchase
an A3 scanner and has been looking at the Microtek ScanMaker 9800XL (
http://www.microtekusa.com/sm9800xltma.html). I know nothing of scanners
(other than the obvious). It's to be used to take scans of antique prints
and drawings. Possibly for reproduction purposes i.e. sending to a printers
in a digital format. I'm not 100% sure of this last point but would be handy
to know if this is feasible whilst maintaining quality.

Does anyone have any direct experience of the above model or have a
make/model they would recommend? (preferably no SCSI) It's for business use
so should be reasonably robust.
