This is a petition to our government using their new "e-petitions"
system to tell them we don't want software patents. Software is already
covered by copyright law that protects the implementation of an idea,
rather than the idea itself (which is what software patents would
allow). I recommend all underscore people sign this, because software
patents could really mess up the UK IT industry (especially for people
and companies that rely heavily on Open Source).
