I've just got one of them, and the coverage seems to be pretty  
reasonable.  I've been toting it around the past few weeks and  
checking signal at various places and it seems ok.  Even down in  
Newton Abbot.

As an experiment I left it running on drive form Newton Abbot to  
Bristol, and it switched to GPRS as I got onto the M5, switched to 3G  
around Taunton again, back to 2G up to Bristol, then went to 3G as I  
came into Bristol.  And seemed to keep the PPP session up the entire  
time, which was impressive.  Especially as it is the built-in  
antenna, mounted in a steel box, and in a steel van hurtling along at  
70 mph.  I'm about to order an external 3db antenna to go on the  
roof, so should be even better then :D
