Apart from this particular instance, does the Underscore massive have an
opinion on the Airport Express Base Station? Looked like just the jolly
job for boosting the wireless signal round my house and to add wireless
connectivity to a printer, not to mention pushing some wikkid chowns out
from iTunes (is it possible to send the same music to more than one
extreme at the same time btw?)

Only thing is that if you read the Apple web store, there are a couple
of hundred postings, a large proportion of which say that the beast will
expire after between 12 & 24 months. Typical apple fan base - still gets
3 1/2 stars!
