That's why I stopped using redhat last time - I eventually got this
redhatupdatedaemon working and then found out that my cut down redhat
install already had over 500 things that I'd have expected to be e.g.
in the ports!
Scary. But then, Solaris isn't a whole lot better either, and MacOSX
has a few millions package management tools.
I think we're spoilt with FreeBSD, always start worrying if i'm
downloading source and compiling it myself these days - I'd rather
it'd been tested first by someone else. :)
