Sounds most practical

Already is 30mph, but I think bus drivers are exempt from speeding
penalties so I guess it gives the impression that the speed limit might
be higher.

Come to think of it, isn't the lane nearest a bus lane? Should be no
cars near pedestrians? only professional drivers with up to 60
passengers in their care.

Traffic calming, good idea. However in Bristol what they do is reduce
the width of the road so that cyclists get shunted into high containment
kerbs by nutters who arn't detered by traffic calming measures.
