I remember reading way back (maybe Joel on Software) about a place  
that had lava lamps above each developer's desk and if the tinderbox  
broke it would look at the last checkin, mail the person and then  
start warming up their lava lamp.  The challange was to fix the build  
before the lamp got up to temperature and the lava started bubbling :)
