Dorkbot bristol February event >From artists and filmmakers to scientists, programmers, architects and designers, Dorkbot is a global movement for people doing strange things with electricity. Next Event : 8 February, Arnolfini, 7pm Guests: Julian Oliver on Packet Garden and Teresa Dillon on Polar Produce Packet Garden is a digital commission for Arnolfini. A network visualisation project which captures information about how you use the internet and uses it to grow a world complete with topography and vegetation which can be explored and cultivated. Packet Garden launches for Mac and PC on February 1st 2007 at www.packetgarden.com Polar Produce is a multidisciplinary group who create interactive media and live art experiences, exploring the interface between virtual and real environments. Currently Polar Produce are working with partners including closely BBC, British Telecom and Blast Theory on a mass participatory and pervasive experience, which explores democratic, public engagement in environmental issues.
