like the dots...and they sure do zip on FF!

I've never had that duoSpeed problem, I normally created animated GIFs 
in Fireworks mind.

Also, I can't see the "doesn't always play" problem in IE7.

However, I have had similar problems before and I think a bit of 
javascript magic in the onload (or unobtrusive magic) to reset the SRC 
of the image in question might shout the browser to "go get/redisplay 
that there image".

...just a thought
