Hello all

I've been forced (almost at gunpoint) to use some animated gifs in a  
site rebuild I'm doing. I've encountered a couple of unusual  
behaviours and wonder if anyone has any thoughts on how to fix:

1. I want the GIFs to run each time the page loads. However most of  
them only run on the first instance of loading the page (althought not  
all of them and not every time) - is there a way to force them to  
reload each time?
2. Safari and IE run the animations much slower than Firefox or  
Camino. Any obvious reason why this might be, or have I just done  
something wrong??
