I hated smart cars until...

A few years ago my ex drove my 1990's curvey VW Polo head on into a
smart car coming the other way... the smart car had little more than a
broken bumper and I think it even drove off afterwards. The Polo was
totally dead in a bad, very bent, crunchy sort of way - 400 yards from
home on the school run with both kids in the car at the time. I got
there five minutes later and it was the best smart car advert for me.

So if I was a rich chap with a thick twat/trophy wife who can't drive
then buying her a 4x4 for the school run might at least ensure the
survival of one's prodigy. (Though they'll probably have to watch a
few of their friends mown down by a bullbarred jeep with a soccer mum
at the wheel a few times at least they'll be safe.)

Though I think 4x4's should all be speed and acceration limited just
to stop so many rich numpties in fast(ish) 4x4's trying to race
everything off every set of lights and overtake everyone at every bad
opportunity.

"No sir! (You pre-cro-magnon fool), your tank is not a sports car and
does not go faster than one even if you did pay £60k for it. (you
moron!)"

Maybe it's (car?) sales people to blame.

P.S. I prefer to buy 2nd+ hand cars in the spring, so that when it
first breaks down 3 or 4 months later you stand some chance of not
freezing to death in the winter.
