I've always preferred the direct method - it seems to me the best way to keep people from dropping off your purchase path (if its good enought for amazon - which is a lovely purchase path but that's for another topic) If redirect is the only real route going forward then I'll need to see what the good products/providers are. As far as I can tell stuff like "PayPal Pro" (a direct method) are incompatible with with 3D secure. I'm also imagining a nightmare scenario where: 1) customer leaves my purchase path to enter the 3rd party secure payment screens (e.g. PayPal) 2) PayPal say "have you got a paypal account?" and make my customer dither around with that 3) further more they are asked "have you got a 3d secure" account - or whatever it is. 4) The shopper gives up in disgust I think it will certainly cut down on online fraud. In fact, i think it will cut down on online sales full stop. pah! Joel
